    Step 1: Contract proposal:

    Mexedia proposes the contract to the client and submits the template for registration in the AGCOM Alias register for signature. Mexedia must accurately identify the sender who wants to register an Alias.

    Mexedia will send the template signed by the client to the Regulatory Division, which will verify and check the information and initiate the procedure (CSV file) for data entry into the AGCOM Alias register.

    Mexedia will wait for the Regulatory Division's confirmation of the Alias registration before starting the SMS campaign.

    The Campaign Manager will enter the client into the systems used, taking care of all activities.

    The Regulatory Division verifies and checks the information contained in the template received from Mexedia and initiates the procedure (CSV file) for data entry into the AGCOM ALIAS register. Aliases should not be too similar to each other, contain misleading characters, or simulate a phone number.

    Step 2: Assigning geographic number

    The Regulatory Division assigns a geographic number to be associated with the ALIAS as proof and verifies that the service provider is an authorized operator with assigned numbers according to the current national numbering plan. At the end of the campaign (period agreed with the client and communicated in the template), the same closing procedure (indicating date/time) must be carried out in the AGCOM register.

    The Regulatory Division undertakes verification and control in agreement with AGCOM. Each Alias must be registered in the AGCOM register before it can be used; end customers can verify the sender’s identity directly through their operator’s customer service or through a web portal provided by the authority.
